Visioning Sessions
The second and third Visioning Sessions focused on gathering information and brainstorming ideas for a revision of Jackson's Comprehensive Plan will be held on May 20 and August 12 at 7:00pm in the Meeting Room of the Town Office. All Jackson residents are encouraged to attend.
Session I was held on February 11, and included discussion of Jackson's natural and historical resources. Thank you to those who attended!
Session II: On May 20 the general topic will be Town Economy and Infrastructure. This will include discussion of:
Town Finances
Fiscal Capacity and Capital Investment
Town Properties
Transportation
Regional Coordination
Session III: On August 12 the general topic will be Land Use. This includes (but is not limited to) discussion of both existing and projected development in the following categories:
Housing
Commercial Development
Industrial Development (including solar farms)
Recreational Development (including camping and ATV/hiking/skiing trails)
Community Spaces (including Community Center, Library, Ball Field, and a potential Community Garden/Composting Area)

A Special Town Meeting was held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 6:00 PM to vote on the following:
1. The acceptance of the deed for the Jackson Corner Cemetery from the Jackson Corner Cemetery Association to the Town of Jackson.
2. Amendments to the Jackson Land Use Ordinance, Sections II, IV, VI, and XI, to update and bring into compliance with LD2003:

3. A Short Term Rental Registration Ordinance.
