Welcome to the town of Jackson, Maine, USA. Settled in 1798 and incorporated on June 12, 1812, Jackson is a small town of about 548 people in Waldo County. Here you can find useful information like upcoming events, phone numbers, and town office hours.  If you would like to be added to the resident-run email list for town news, send an email to JacksonBulletinBoard@gmail.com.

Please take the Jackson Comprehensive Plan 2024 Community Survey! Jackson’s Comprehensive Plan was written 27 years ago, so an update is long overdue. An updated Plan is required by the State of Maine before a town can receive grants (the Town Office was built using such grant money), but more importantly, it serves as the basis of town ordinances and establishes policies that govern what town officials can and cannot do. It also gives town residents a unique chance to reflect on where the town has been, to foresee and prepare for potential challenges, and to set a course that will shape the future of the town. Click here to take it online. If you prefer to do it on paper, you can pick up a copy at the town office or download and print the PDF
