PUBLIC HEARING FOR WINTER ROAD CLOSURE. Tuesday, September 29th at 7:00 PM at the Jackson Town Office. The municipal officers will discuss and gather input regarding roads to be closed for winter maintenance. They are proposing to continue to keep the roads that have been closed for winter maintenance for the last 10 years to be closed for another 10 years. List of roads designated to be closed for winter maintenance available at the Town Office.
FIRST ANNUAL BANGOR SHRED-A-THON! Friday, September 25th, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM at UMA Bangor Campus, 65 Texas Ave, Bangor, ME (Lewiston Hall Parking Lot). Free community paper-shredding event. Bring your old bills, statements, receipts, and other sensitive documents for safe and secure shredding--completely FREE. Open to the public. Secure on-site shredding. Shredded paper is recycled. Staples and paperclips are OK.
Tax bills are currently estimated to be mailed out in mid-September.

The Transfer Station is open Sundays, 8 AM - 5 PM. Jackson transfer station stickers are free for residents, and available at the town office. Please bring your vehicle registration to get one. Stickers must be displayed on your vehicle in order to use the transfer station.

The Jackson Food Pantry is at 9:30 AM on the third Friday of the month, at the Jackson Community Center. Please see the Jackson Food Pantry schedule for upcoming dates and times.
